- Schneider switch-disconnectors built to make and break load current safely, with arc-extinguishing contacts rated for on-load operation. Available as plain or fused versions, panel-mounted or in an enclosure, from a few amps up to well over a thousand — the FuPact switch-disconnector fuse range alone spans 32 A to 1250 A.
- Used as the incoming device on distribution boards, as isolation for motors and machines, and as changeover switching between mains and generator supplies. Unlike a disconnector, a load break switch is designed to be operated with the circuit energised — which is what makes it the right device where a machine must be switched off locally by an operator rather than by tripping a breaker upstream.
