Electronic Over Current Relays
- Schneider TeSys Deca electronic overload relays, using solid-state current sensing rather than a bimetal, with a wide adjustable setting range, tighter tripping accuracy and built-in phase-loss and phase-imbalance protection. Diagnostics report why the relay tripped rather than leaving it to be worked out by inspection.
- Applied where a wide current setting range, tighter accuracy and fault diagnostics are needed: high-inertia motor starts, pumps subject to dry running, and installations where the reason for a trip must be reported to the BMS rather than found by inspection. Solid-state sensing also removes the ambient-temperature drift that makes a bimetallic relay trip early in a hot plant room and late in a cold one.
