Smoke Dampers

- AEROVAC low-leakage multi-blade smoke dampers, UL Listed to UL 555S, with blade and jamb seals driven by an electric or pneumatic actuator on a signal from the fire alarm panel. Leakage class and elevated-temperature rating are the two figures that decide the selection.
- Form the boundary of smoke control zones and seal the ducts serving a compartment in smoke mode, so the extract system pulls from the fire floor and not from the whole building. Position feedback contacts are wired back to the fire alarm panel because the cause-and-effect matrix has to prove the damper actually reached its commanded position, not merely that it was told to move.
