Volume Control Dampers

- AEROVAC volume control dampers, models AV-11-GALF (galvanised) and AV-11-ALALF (aluminium), licensed to bear the AMCA seal with ratings tested to AMCA Publication 511. Opposed-blade and parallel-blade configurations with a quadrant handle and locking scale — opposed blades give better control authority, parallel blades throw the air to one side and are used to direct rather than to throttle.
- Fitted on every branch take-off and at each terminal connection so the commissioning engineer can proportionally balance the duct system to design airflows — a cost-effective choice for low to medium pressure and velocity commercial HVAC. Balancing at the damper rather than at the grille avoids the whistle that comes from throttling at the outlet face, and the locking quadrant keeps the setting after the ceiling is closed.
