- Oventrop "Series 801" Y-ball strainers in an oblique pattern body for vertical or horizontal installation, with a removable 20-mesh wire basket and integral PT (pressure/temperature) test port, bypass and drain ports. Wetted surfaces comply with NSF-372 at under 0.25% lead by weight.
- Supplied as part of the supply-side coil hookup kit on fan coil units and air handlers, and fitted upstream of pumps, control valves, flow meters and chiller evaporators. Most control valve failures found at commissioning are debris, not the valve — the drain port lets the basket be blown down without breaking the pipe joint, and a fine flushing mesh is swapped for the running mesh once the system is clean.
