- Aluminium sheet, coil and extrusions in 1050, 3003 and 5052 grades and 6063 architectural extrusion, with mill, powder coated and anodised finishes. Roughly a third the weight of steel with a self-passivating oxide layer that needs no coating to resist atmospheric corrosion.
- Used for grille and diffuser frames and blades, louvers, damper components, cleanroom ductwork and lightweight duct where weight on the structure matters. Aluminium is also specified where the duct must be non-sparking or where a magnetic material cannot be used, such as around MRI suites.
