Custom Industrial Doors
About
- Door Engineering custom industrial doors, engineered around a specific opening, load or environment, oversized leaves, chemical or blast exposure, extreme temperature, or non-standard geometry. Supplied against a design submittal rather than a catalogue sheet, with the engineering calculation forming part of the deliverable.
Application
Applied in process plants, energy facilities, hangars, testing laboratories and specialist manufacturing where no standard product meets the duty. Because these doors are engineered to order, the opening dimensions, the operating cycle count and the environmental exposure must be fixed early, a change after fabrication starts is a remake, not an adjustment, and it moves the critical path.
Standards & Reference 5 cited
ANSI/DASMA 105
The air infiltration test method for doors: how much air leaks past a closed door assembly.
NFPA 80
Not a test but a compliance standard: how fire doors are installed, inspected and maintained, including the annual inspection and the requirement that every fire door self-closes and positively latches.
UL 10C
The positive pressure fire test for door assemblies. Positive pressure drives hot gas through any gap between door and frame, which makes it the more demanding test and the one North American codes now call for.
