- CISA and Interflex electric strikes, motor locks, electromagnetic locks and electrically controlled escape systems to EN standards, including EN 13637 for electrically controlled exit systems on escape routes. EN 13637 covers the specific case where an escape door is held under electronic control with a defined release time.
- Applied on EN-specified access control installations in offices, hospitals, transport buildings and secure facilities. Delayed egress under EN 13637 is the only compliant way to hold an escape door against immediate opening, and it requires an approved control unit, a local alarm and an override — a maglock simply wired to a card reader on an escape route does not meet the standard and will not be signed off.
