Senneca builds enclosures for mission critical environments as a distinct segment, so the containment is detailed to seal an aisle without obstructing rack access or the fire suppression discharge pattern.
- Installed at the ends of hot or cold aisles to stop supply and return air mixing, which is what allows the CRAC units to raise supply temperature and cut cooling energy. Drop-away or fusible panels are required so that on a fire alarm the containment opens and does not trap the suppression agent or the smoke inside the aisle — a requirement that has to be reconciled with NFPA 75 before the containment layout is fixed.
