Sand trap louver

- Two-stage sand trap louvers with vertical inlet channels and a collection hopper, dropping airborne sand out of the intake stream before it reaches the filter bank. Removal efficiency is quoted by particle size at a stated face velocity.
- Standard on fresh air intakes throughout the Gulf, Egypt and North Africa, where a normal weather louver passes enough sand to blind a G4 pre-filter within weeks. Fitting them ahead of the filter bank on AHUs, generator rooms and substation ventilation cuts filter replacement cost and protects coils from the abrasion and fouling that permanently lowers their capacity.
