Ball Valves
- Oventrop "Optibal" and "Optibal TW" quarter-turn ball valves in brass, low-lead brass and bronze, with PTFE seats and a full or reduced bore. The TW potable water version is built to DIN EN 13828 with no dead space — the ball stays surrounded by water, which is what keeps a rarely-used branch from becoming a stagnation point.
- Used for isolation on small-bore hydronic branches, fan coil connections, and potable and domestic hot water services, where they have largely replaced gate valves. Optibal TW is the recommended shutoff ahead of an "Aquastrom T" circulation valve on a hot water return
- extended-stem and extended-handle versions clear the insulation on chilled water lines so the handle turns without breaking the vapour barrier.
