Pressure Independent Valves

- Oventrop "Cocon Q" pressure independent control valves — an automatic flow regulator with a manually set nominal value, in series with a control plug, inside one DZR brass or cast iron body. QTZ covers DN 15–32 (30–3600 l/h), QTR DN 40–50, and QFC DN 40–150 flanged or grooved
- PN 16, −10 °C to 120 °C, with an M 30 x 1.5 actuator thread and a 4 bar maximum differential.
- The default on variable flow chilled water serving fan coils, AHUs and chilled beams — the "Q4" body covers chilled beam duties specifically. In tall buildings, where pump head and part-load conditions swing the branch differential widely, the valve holds flow at its set maximum regardless, which protects control authority at low load and is the practical fix for the low delta-T syndrome that keeps chillers running inefficiently.
