Standards this line is built to
The designations below are cited by the products on this page. A specification is written in these, not in product names, so each one is set out with what it governs. Progress Horizon Trading supplies this line as an authorized distributor across Saudi Arabia.
ANSI/BHMA A156.2
Bored and preassembled locks and latches: the cylindrical lockset family.
ANSI/BHMA A156.13
Mortise locks and latches: the heavier lock family let into the door edge.
UL 10C
The positive pressure fire test for door assemblies. Positive pressure drives hot gas through any gap between door and frame, which makes it the more demanding test and the one North American codes now call for.
NFPA 80
Not a test but a compliance standard: how fire doors are installed, inspected and maintained, including the annual inspection and the requirement that every fire door self-closes and positively latches.
ADA 2010 Standards
The American accessible design requirements as they apply to an opening: clear width, maximum opening force, and hardware that works without tight grasping or twisting.
EN 12209
Mechanically operated locks and locking plates, with the grading that describes duty, security and fire suitability.
EN 1303
Cylinders for locks, graded for key-related security, attack resistance and durability.
EN 1906
Lever handles and knob furniture, graded by duty, durability and corrosion resistance.

EN 179
Emergency exit devices operated by a lever handle or push pad, for routes used by people familiar with the building.
EN 1125
Panic exit devices operated by a horizontal bar, for escape routes used by the public, where people may not know the building.
EN 1634-1
The European fire resistance test for door and shutter assemblies, and the basis for CE marking a fire door. Built on a different pressure regime from UL 10C, so the two ratings are not interchangeable.
