Standards this line is built to
The designations below are cited by the products on this page. A specification is written in these, not in product names, so each one is set out with what it governs. Progress Horizon Trading supplies this line as an authorized distributor across Saudi Arabia.
NFPA 80
Not a test but a compliance standard: how fire doors are installed, inspected and maintained, including the annual inspection and the requirement that every fire door self-closes and positively latches.
UL 10C
The positive pressure fire test for door assemblies. Positive pressure drives hot gas through any gap between door and frame, which makes it the more demanding test and the one North American codes now call for.
EN 1634-1
The European fire resistance test for door and shutter assemblies, and the basis for CE marking a fire door. Built on a different pressure regime from UL 10C, so the two ratings are not interchangeable.
BS 476-22
The older British fire resistance test for non-loadbearing elements, tested at roughly neutral furnace pressure. Still cited on UK-legacy specifications alongside EN 1634-1.
NSF/ANSI 2
Materials and design requirements for food equipment: surfaces that must be cleanable in a commercial kitchen or food plant.
USDA/FDA compliant materials
Made from materials accepted for contact with food, which is what allows the product into a food preparation or cold storage area.
ASTM D1784
Classification of rigid PVC compounds by their mechanical and thermal properties: what a PVC component's cell classification refers to.
ASTM E84
Surface burning characteristics: the flame spread index and smoke developed index a material is classified by. Class A is the usual requirement in an occupied building.

ANSI/BHMA A156.4
Door controls: closers, graded by cycle testing. Grade 1 is the specification for high-traffic and fire-rated openings.
ASTM A240
Chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet and strip: the grade designations behind 304 and 316.
