The recommended specification for standard steel doors and frames: gauge, construction and grade. Often still called SDI-100.
NFPA 80
Not a test but a compliance standard: how fire doors are installed, inspected and maintained, including the annual inspection and the requirement that every fire door self-closes and positively latches.
UL 10C
The positive pressure fire test for door assemblies. Positive pressure drives hot gas through any gap between door and frame, which makes it the more demanding test and the one North American codes now call for.
ANSI/BHMA A156 series
The American builders hardware standards, each part covering one product family and grading it Grade 1 to 3 by cycle testing.
