Standards this line is built to
The designations below are cited by the products on this page. A specification is written in these, not in product names, so each one is set out with what it governs. Progress Horizon Trading supplies this line as an authorized distributor across Saudi Arabia.
IEC 62052-11
The general requirements, tests and test conditions for electricity metering equipment: the base standard every meter type builds on.
IEC 62053-21
Static meters for active energy at accuracy classes 1 and 2: the general-purpose billing and sub-metering accuracy.
IEC 62053-23
Static meters for reactive energy: the counterpart to 62053-21 where power factor has to be measured and billed.
EN 50470-1
General requirements for electricity metering equipment intended for regulated, billable use in Europe.
EN 50470-3
Static meters for active energy in the European regulated series, at accuracy classes A, B and C.
MID 2014/32/EU
The EU Measuring Instruments Directive: what allows a meter to be used for a billed transaction rather than indication only.
IEC 61869-1
General requirements for instrument transformers: the base standard behind current and voltage transformer ratings.
IEC 61869-2
Additional requirements for current transformers: accuracy class, burden and the rated values a protection or metering CT is selected on.

IEC 60044-1
The earlier current transformer standard, superseded by IEC 61869-2 but still cited on established product ranges.
IEC 61010-1
Safety requirements for electrical equipment used for measurement, control and laboratory use, which is where the CAT measurement categories come from.
IEC 60529
The IP code. Two digits stating how well an enclosure keeps out solid objects and water, IP65 and the like. The number a specifier reads first when equipment sits outdoors or in a plant room.
