Circular attenuator (tubular silencers)

- Circular silencers built as an absorptive annulus, with or without a centre pod, matched to spiral duct diameters. The pod version raises low-frequency attenuation at the cost of extra pressure drop.
- Used on spiral duct systems in exposed-services interiors, on inline fan discharges, and on toilet and kitchen extract risers where a rectangular unit would not suit the round duct run. Because they fit inline without a transition, they avoid the turbulence and regenerated noise that a rectangular silencer with two transformation pieces introduces.
