Instrumentation cables
- Instrumentation cables — multiple conductor cables carrying low energy electrical signals used for monitoring or controlling power systems and their associated processes. Ramcro's instrumentation range is flame and fire retardant, halogen-free with low smoke emission, and resistant to oil and hydrocarbons, which is what qualifies it for oil, gas and petrochemical work.
- Used to carry measurement and control signals between field instruments and control panels, supplied with individual pair screening or an overall screen to protect the signal from interference in industrial environments. Oil and hydrocarbon resistance matters wherever the cable may sit in a bunded area or a process trench — the sheath, not the conductor, is what fails first in those locations.
