Bifurcated axial fans
- Bifurcated axial fans in which the motor sits outside the airstream in a split casing, driven by a shaft through the bifurcation. Because the motor never touches the handled air, these fans survive duties that would destroy a conventional axial fan — Twin City's equivalent utility set duties reach 300 °F on the kitchen-rated Model BCVR.
- Used for kitchen grease extract, laundry and drying room extract, fume and hot gas handling, and smoke extract at elevated temperature. In commercial kitchens they are the standard selection because grease-laden vapour would otherwise coat and overheat an in-stream motor — the same reason UL 762 listing for grease-laden air is the certification to look for on this duty.
